The Central Minnesota Chapter (in St. Cloud and its Branches in Alexandria, Detroit Lakes, and Park Rapids) is always looking for community-conscious individuals who enjoy learning, problem-solving business challenges and sharing their knowledge with emerging and in-business entrepreneurs.

Nationwide 10,500 men and women, retired and working, donate their time and talent to assist America’s entrepreneurs. At SCORE offices, volunteers provide confidential one-to-one and team business counseling and low-cost entrepreneurial training workshops and seminars. In addition, many counselors are virtual volunteers, providing email counseling directly from their homes or offices.

As a SCORE volunteer, you will:

• Be a leader in the effort to provide real-world assistance to small businesses.

• Gain fulfillment by sharing your business experience and expertise with a new generation of entrepreneurs.

• Build relationships with local business leaders to provide economic growth and employment opportunities in the local area.

• Promote "social capital" in the community by mentoring future community leaders, and connecting them with existing resources.

• Staying connected with entrepreneurs though mentoring relationships.

• Share your knowledge at SCORE’s entrepreneurial training workshops.

SCORE welcomes both working and retired members.   Our goal is to assist emerging entrepreneurs by having mentors in a wide variety of fields of expertise.

SCORE Counselors are volunteers, and are guided by a Code of Ethics.  Each SCORE mentor must re-sign this agreement every year.  Read the Code of Ethics.  You may wish to print a copy for your records.
